Our Mission, Goals and Objectives:
To help and aide the Marine and Island Environment of the Abaco Islands through research and development of projects most helpful to the people and the Island Environment.
We help work on and raise funds and interest on projects that are needed and in the immediate interest of the people.
Several of our early projects have been Marine related and Aquaculture
specific. The first Phase & Project of interest will be Abaco
Aquaculture development. We would like to work towards the
purchase or long term lease of an Island or specific island property. to build a small scale state of the art facility where researchers, scientists, students and Sea-Life members could work and study the life cycle of several marine species for grow-out, hatchery, site replenishment, commercial sale and exportation. The land purchase and project would have several considerations. The area of interest would be remote but yet accessible enough that our company would not have the expense of building a road to the property so that our upstart expenses can be directed towards more immediate areas of concern. The area chosen would be well suited to build a Bahamian style modern manor house capable of properly entertaining and housing 30 guests at one time. The location would have full access and control to a beach and inter-tidal area for the building of the hatchery, scientific research, and the building of several small cottages or homes for use and lease by the Sea & Life Society.
The society would have the right to purchase and or lease additional locations and areas that would have similar themes of development &
interest in the future. The Sea & Life Society would have a
special agreement to work on a wide & flexible range of topics and interests to raise monies for the purpose of continuing support towards its goals for the society and the Island people and related interests.
For example, we may engage on the property the sale of food and drink, gifts and memorabilia, photography, clothes, jewelry, scientific information, and property rental and sales including docking fees. This would be done in a wider and more flexible arrangement than is currently available for most new development. This would be possible because the location would be remote enough not to be in direct competition with other area business and the monies collected would be directly related to the Sea & Life Society, its projects, and themes.
